Handwoven Persian carpet with crimson and indigo medallion

Why collectors come to us

Not a rug store. A direct line to the loom.

Most “Persian” rugs sold abroad pass through five middlemen and lose their story along the way. We don’t. Persian Crown works hand-in-hand with weaving families across Tabriz, Isfahan, Qom and Kashan — so what reaches your home is genuine, traceable, and chosen by people who can read a knot the way others read a signature.

For the discerning homeowner, the interior designer specifying a once-in-a-lifetime piece, and the collector building a portfolio of fine textiles, authenticity is everything. We make it provable.

Curated collections

Pieces chosen for the few who notice

Heritage & craftsmanship

From fleece to floor — a year inside one rug

A single fine Persian carpet is the work of seasons, not days. This is the journey every piece we sell has already travelled before it reaches you.

01

THE FLEECE

Highland wool & mulberry silk

Spring-shorn wool from highland flocks is hand-spun for resilience, while silk is reserved for the finest detail. Fibre quality decides everything that follows.

02

THE DYE

Madder, indigo & pomegranate

Natural pigments — madder root for red, indigo for blue, pomegranate rind for gold — are simmered in copper vats. They age gracefully where synthetics fade.

03

THE LOOM

Months of hand-tied knots

Master weavers read a hand-drawn cartoon knot by knot — often over a million in a single carpet. The density is what separates heirloom from import.

04

THE FINISH

Washed, shorn & documented

Hand-washing brings out the lustre; the pile is shorn level by eye. We then record weave, region and weaver — the provenance file that travels with your rug.

Persian carpet anchoring a luxury interior

For designers & collectors

Custom sourcing for the piece you can’t find

Specifying a particular size, palette, or regional weave for a project? Tell us the brief. We search our weaving networks and private antique holdings across Iran to source the exact carpet — or commission it.

Designers receive trade terms, high-resolution imagery, and on-approval shipping. Collectors receive first sight of newly surfaced antique pieces before they reach the open market.

“The provenance file alone justified the purchase. Three years on, the rug has only deepened in colour — and in value.”
